I took an online soldering class from Sally Jean Alexander months ago and learned to create 3 dimensional boxes. The soldering is easy compared to finding things to put in the boxes. 
I do recomment Sally as a teacher and she has some great online classes. I do caution you that if you have a problem she will not attempt to resolve it - so beware!!
I love your beautiful work and the variety of media you use. I have never tried soldering, but these are so lovely. You make me want to stretch my wings. You are so talented.
